Our local theater has $1.00 kids movies on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings during the summer. They are movies that have already been out for awhile, but it is fun to go to the movie.
Isla, Ezra, and I went to see The Wild Robot.
We all enjoyed the movie. Then it was home for lunch.
Gary, Isla, and Ezra went outside to crack open some geodes.
They had fun. Microscopes were used to explore some more outside too.
After dinner, I took Isla to the pool in Forest Farms for her Valiant Activity.
It was a fun activity for all the Valiant (ages 7-11) while the older youth were away at camp.
I enjoyed chatting with the other adults while Isla and her friends had a great time in the pool.
Meanwhile, Gary took Ezra on a walk down Murphy Lane to explore the sheds and chicken coops for sale. Ezra loved it. He wanted to see the other sheds, but Papa told him they would have to do it another time because it was across the highway and they would need to drive there. Gary then had to explain that because of his knee he wasn't driving and it was getting late and it was hot so they walked back home and used his microscope to explore some of the plants in the garden. Ezra got a treat and got to choose something to watch.
After the activity, Isla and I went to drop off a book at the library. The sun was beautiful. Isla had my phone and was able to snap this picture. We tried to catch the sun again, but it was sinking behind the trees and we couldn't find another good spot to see the sun again.
We drove back home and Ezra told us all about the sheds. Then it was time for family scripture study and family prayer.
